Catskill Conquest Rally General Information
-The start of the Catskill Conquest Rally will be at the Maurice D. Hinchey Catskill Interpretive Center, 5096 NY-28, Mt Tremper, NY 12457 from 9-10 am, and ends at the Unadilla House in Unadilla on State Route 7, Main Street.
Unadilla is between Oneota and Binghamton with I-88 having exits nearby. The distance along the route is 75 miles.
-Entrants will be asked to sign a liability release and all cars must be street legal and insured. Hagerty Insurance has offered free roadside and flatbed towing coverage for all entrants.
-Much of the route is state highway with a 55 mph speed limit. It includes hills and curves as it crosses the Catskill Mountains with four rises over 2000 feet elevation. There is a hill function on our map of the plotaroute.com here, it shows the more and less challenging areas of the route.
-Limited trailer parking is available at the Catskill Visitor Center on Rt 28 in Mt Tremper; McIntosh Auction Service and Wayman's Automotive, both on Rt 28 in Margaretville; at Delaware County Historical Association on Rt 10 in Delhi and in Unadilla.
Inquire if you need to find trailer parking.
-There are three historic railroad organizations on our route. The Empire State Railroad Museum in Phoenicia, the Delaware & Ulster Railroad ride in Arkville, and the Franklin Railroad and Community Museum in Franklin.
-There are many accommodation options and we hope you stay overnight and take the time to enjoy our region. From Andes to either end of the route is about an hour's drive. Sunday feels quieter and a good time to visit the Ashokan Reservoir promenade and enjoy our many hamlets. Phoenicia and Andes have been given accolades in national media in particular. All our communities have their charms and historic properties and take you back to the era of 1903 in many ways!
